“The best company I’ve ever had to deal with,” said Denis Humphreys after he and his wife Barbara built their own Paal home.

Denis and Barbara Humphreys built a Paal home on five acres near Tamworth, finding the project to be very straightforward.
The couple made a lot of inquiries before choosing their supplier. “We found that Paal’s designs, pricing and service were much better than the rest,” Denis said.
They modified the standard Camden design, replacing the formal dining and lounge rooms with a media room that’s used daily, and enlarging the main ensuite and walk-in robe.
A galley kitchen with an island benchtop was chosen rather than the standard L-shaped benchtop. The kitchen layout received plenty of favourable comments from visitors at a recent Paal Open House held at the new home.
The Humphreys also extended the verandah around 85 per cent of the house to enhance its country look, keep the sun out in summer and conserve warm air around the house in winter.
“These changes were easy to do and no problem whatsoever for Paal,” Denis said.
The couple did most of the building work themselves, employing a friend to help with the frame and roof trusses, and using contractors for the Colorbond roof, brick cladding and gyprocking. They tackled all the finishing work.
“Having control of the building process – the design, tradespeople, the quality of our finishes – made it so much easier for us,” he said.
“The building experience was, from beginning to end, very straightforward. I’d recommend Paal to anyone.”
If Denis required any assistance during building, he called Paal, who had the answer or were prompt in getting back to him. “They’ve been fantastic, nothing’s been too much trouble for them.
“If I was writing a dictionary and looking for a definition of customer service, it would be four letters, PAAL. They’re the best company I’ve ever had to deal with.”
