A very successful Open House was held by Paal kit homes near Richmond in Sydney’s north west. More than 70 couples and families inspected the home of Charlie and Carmen Muscat who built Paal’s largest model, the 46 square Castlereagh, for their family which includes four young children.

“People said it was great to have the opportunity to view first-hand the spaciousness and quality of the finished residence. It made all the difference to their decision making,” said Paal housing consultant Phillip Longhurst.
According to Charlie Muscat, “None of the project home companies had what we were looking for.
“The steel frame also drew us in. It gives complete white ant protection and is also stronger than timber frames.”
The three bathroom, four bedroom (plus study) Castlereagh has very spacious living areas with views to both the front and rear, plus wide verandahs that encompass much of the house.
A busy couple, Charlie and Carmen didn’t have the time to build the home themselves, so employed tradespeople to erect the frame, affix the roofing, lay the brickwork and fit out the interior.
“I could see that construction was just a matter of following the Paal assembly manual. So long as you have the right tools and know what you’re doing, it’s quite straightforward,” he said.
“Our new home is beautiful. The children really love it.”
