Tamworth couple pleased with Paal home

Rob and Merril Nixon built a 'Riverina' home on their 10 acres in the countryside near Tamworth. They're delighted with their new home, which they say has more than lived up to expectations.

The couple had already owned the land for 20 years, breeding alpacas. They chose a four-bedroom country style Riverina with a 31 metre frontage and large rooms for relaxed living.

"We bought a Paal home because we saw one nearby and liked it. We customised the plan to suit ourselves, extending the verandah right around the house and fitting double-hung windows that open from the top or bottom," Merril said.

The spacious kitchen features a walk-in pantry, while the master bedroom boasts an ensuite and walk-in robe. A large study can become a fifth bedroom if required.

Before building, the Nixons booked a free consultation with Paal's colour consultant Narelle Jarman, journeying from Tamworth to the display centre at Emu Plains to make their selection. "The colours we chose are lovely. They've worked out very well," Merril said.

"The builder who put up our house had built two or three Paal homes previously, so everything went very smoothly for him. There were no problems whatsoever. The bricklayer was also impressed."

Paal's consultants Narelle, Phillip and Kassandra were always excellent to deal with, as was John in the workshop, according to Merril.

"We are delighted with our new home. We're happy to recommend it to other people."

An Open House organised by Paal attracted many interested couples to the Nixons' property, with some staying and inspecting the house for up to three hours.
