Like-new Paal home sells within a week

When Stanley and Sharron Jordan sold their Paal home recently in order to move into a retirement village, the sales process couldn’t have been smoother.

The Jordans’ property in the inland rural town of Warwick, Queensland, was on the market for less than a week and was purchased by the first couple who looked at it.

The building inspector engaged by the couple said he was pleased to check it as the two-and-a-half year old residence was a Paal home.

The inspector told Stanley he was aware of all the steel frame construction systems and felt the Paal one was far better engineered than any other that he had encountered.

The Jordans’ home was an Elizabeth design with a double garage added. They were obliged to sell when they moved into the retirement village for health reasons. Sharron and Stanley’s eldest son Nick had done most of the erection of the steel frame and project-managed the rest of the build.

“The buyers of our home live in Warwick,” Stanley said. “We’ve talked to them since they moved in and they like it very much. They’d been looking for a house in town for six years and after inspecting ours, the wife said, ‘This is the one I want to buy’.

“Three other parties also went through the house. One couple said that if the sale fell through, they would buy it.”

Stanley said their home was like brand-new when it was sold. “We’re pleased with the sales price and made a reasonable profit. I tell everybody that if they’re thinking of building a home, get in touch with Paal.”
